We are entering week #3 of Mama’s Bilingual Play-School, I have been “playing school” with my girls since I can remember. As always, my definition of play-school is simply, intentional play. This month is about patriotism of both USA and Colombia since we are a bicultural family. Here are some snapshots of our intentional play this past week. This was our play plan calendar from last week.

Bible: Our Bible focus was that the Lord loves everyone equally and that God made us all unique and special. They learned about their fingerprints how everyone is different on the outside, but that we all have the same inside (heart and soul). Jesus loves the Little Children of the World song was our theme song.
Sensory: Snap cube building and sorting in beans, dog find in water beads, dirt digging for dogs plus letter D fill, and doggy baths.
Letters: Letter D find, fill, name sorting, and letter jumping and dancing to music.
Numbers: Different colored children patterns, children counting, shape fingerprinting, and cat and dog sorting and counting.
Open ended play: Lots of play play play play play and PRAY. Emma prays SOO much during the day and I cannot praise God enough for her sweet prayers!! She is a tough one, but little by little our playing through the Bible is opening her little heart to a needed relationship with Jesus.
Thanks for joining our journey of PLAY-school. I make all our own activities and materials, if any of these things interest you please message me either on this blog or by e-mail. My e-mail is msantafe@avmi.org and I would love to connect you to our journey. Many blessings! Happy parenting! Stay tuned for our fun week ahead of Colors of Colombia as we begin our two weeks of patriotism of the Colombian side of our family heritage.
