D-Week

This week has been off to a great start, dinosaur week has been extremely fun. Let me tell you, I am not a dinosaur person. Actually, to be honest I think it has been doing Dino Week that I can now finally spell it correctly… Haha! Don’t ask me to tell you a Dinosaur name though, because without looking at something we did I guarantee you I will only know T-Rex and Triceratops. Thats even after making a bunch of materials with Dinosaur names… I am telling you, it is Not. My. Thing. Emma probably remembers more then me, she has soaked up everything! We did SOOO much and it is only Wednesday…

  • Dino skeleton making in the play dough
  • Dino dots for numbers
  • Found Dino eggs with numbers 1-5 inside around the house
  • Dinosaur coloring readers in Spanish (which by the way I decided to make a Spanish reader every week with whatever the theme is, check back weekly if that interests you)
  • Dinosaur stencil sponge painting
  • Dino alphabet matching game
  • Dino crafts
  • Etc. Etc.

I found this amazing show called Dinosaur Train on Amazon Prime Video, it has turned into a fav. I think it is originally on PBS, it has been a perfect evening treat before bed.

These are our dinosaur books for the week. As always, it is not about the quantity of how many books that is read, but the quality of how you read them. Em’s favorite is Too Many Dinosaurs, to be honest, it is mine too. Such a cute story!

Emma handled the real dinosaur bone skeletons pretty well. She needed her Papi (Dad) for sure! So glad he was able to join our field trip before he left for El Paso, TX this week.

Here is another resource I made that I didn’t put on my last post. I have been aiming to make my own resources that fit our weekly theme and Emma’s needs. Check out Mama’s Bilingual Play-School on TpT for my new products. Everything I make is free! Thanks for taking the time to read!
